Precision Hunter
You just grabbed it out of the safe. Now what?
It's sat there since last season — same optic, maybe a new box of ammo. Before you trust it out to real hunting distances, there's a process for getting it there: truing your ballistic data to what your rifle is actually doing, confirming point of aim matches point of impact, and building the wind-call and position skills to make the shot when it counts. That's what this covers.
WHAT THIS ISN'T
- A ground-up marksmanship course
- Scouting, glassing, or species-specific tactics
- Field dressing and processing game
- In-person range time
WHAT THIS IS
- Rifle and gear setup for hunting at distance
- Truing your ballistic data to your actual rifle
- Reading wind and calling shots at hunting distances
- The shot process and positions that hold in the field
THE CURRICULUM
Day 1 — Rifle, Gear & Data
- Long-range hunting ethics: engagement distances and the gear and optic they require
- Rifle and gear setup: optics, rests, rangefinders, DOPE cards, and rifle fit — eye relief, length of pull, torque specs
- Ballistics calculators: apps, Kestrels, weapon-mounted LRF+BC, and building your gun's profile
- Truing your data: chronograph your rifle, update your ballistics computer, and confirm POA = POI at 700–800m
Day 2 — The Field Process
- Pre-shot process: from scanning and identifying the target through the full shot sequence
- Range estimation: rangefinders, TRPs, by eye, and map-based range estimation
- Wind calls: reading wind, gun numbers, crosswinds, and how terrain moves the wind
- Alternate positions: points of contact, body position, and natural point of aim for stability in the field
YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Ethan Christensen
Precision Rifle Instructor, PCG Tactical — Former Army Sniper
Ethan spent his career being paid to know exactly whether a rifle was actually ready — data trued, wind read correctly, position solid enough to hold. He's spent the years since teaching those same standards to civilians, law enforcement, and security professionals through PCG Tactical.
This masterclass is that same process, built for hunters heading back out this season — so your data, your gear, and your shot process are actually ready, not just close.
WHO THIS IS FOR
This is for you if:
- You're hunting at distance this season and want your data actually trued, not estimated
- Your rifle's been sitting since last season and you want it properly dialed before you head back out
- You want a real process for wind calls and field positions, not just tips
- You'd rather sort this out now than discover it on opening day
This isn't for you if:
- You're looking for a full marksmanship course from the ground up
- You're looking for scouting or hunting-strategy content
- You want in-person, hands-on range time this weekend
Know it's ready before opening day.
Two evenings with Ethan Christensen. Live, virtual, $99.
Seats limited — Oct 3rd & 4th
